Critter guard

Solar systems have the potential to attract animals to your roof. One of the most common animals our clients are concerned about are birds and squirrels. In some cases, these critters find their way to your roof, hide under your solar panels, and make it their home.

Squirrels have the potential to chew on wires and birds commonly use this space as a nesting ground. Besides broken wires, twigs and plants for nesting, and animal feces, their activities under the panels can potentially move the wires and cause several issues.

Installing critter guards is the best way to prevent birds and other rodents from housing themselves by your solar panel system. We highly recommend installing critter guards to your system as it prevents potential damages, saves our clients money but also protects the animals. Critters that make your system their home will make it their breeding ground and if they must be relocated it could potentially do damage to their home and put them at risk of injury.

It is always better to take preventative measures if the option to install rodent guards is available!
